The authority for the governance of these United States lies with the people, and we limited the authority we delegated from the moment we established our government, in order to remain free.

Unfortunately not enough citizens of this country read, nor attempt to fully understand, the doctrines of freedom to the degree they should in order to protect their own liberty, and that of our posterity.

Many office holders have abused their actual authority, while ignoring their oaths to be true to our Constitution, in order to gain political power, at our expense, using all sorts of convoluted logic to set precedents that are anti freedom, and counter to all the foundations of our government. Unfortunately many we have placed in postions of trust to prevent these abuses, have been unwilling to take the steps needed to remove the abusers, thereby enabling a continuing erosion of our basic system of government based on God given rights and man's right to live free.

The primary duty of the federal government has always been to protect the unalienable rights of the people of the United States, and specifically from external threats to our rights.
As soon as this new START treaty was ratified in the Senate we became less secure and more vulnerable to a multitude of threats. For what? To demonstrate we are committed to non proliferation policies? We have led on that for decades. Why are we worried what others may think of us when they will continue to think of us as they choose to regardless?

The fact that this was done during a lame duck session of congress demonstrates to the people of America something too, our government under the Democrats, does not care what the people say, or want, but do care what the rest of the world thinks of them.

There was no justifiable reason to take this matter up, and rush it without thorough debate during the lame duck session-- other than needing votes from people that America fired in November.

Once again the 111th Congress, and a president weak on defense, have failed the American people; this time via dereliction of duty-- for nothing but temporary political gain.

OPEN LETTER TO THE U.S. SENATE on the New START Treaty

As you know, President Obama insists that the United States Senate advise and consent during the present lame-duck session to the bilateral U.S.-Russian strategic arms control treaty known as "New START" that he signed earlier this year in Prague. It is our considered professional judgment that this treaty and the larger disarmament agenda which its ratification would endorse are not consistent with the national security interests of the United States, and that both should be rejected by the Senate.
Administration efforts to compel the Senate to vote under circumstances in which an informed and full debate are effectively precluded is inconsistent with your institution's precedents, its constitutionally mandated quality-control responsibilities with respect to treaties and, in particular, the critical deliberation New START requires in light of that accord's myriad defects, of which the following are especially problematic:

It is unnecessary and ill-advised for the United States to make these sorts of deep reductions in its strategic forces in order to achieve sharp cuts in those of the Russian Federation. After all, the Kremlin's strategic systems have not been designed for long service lives. Consequently, the number of deployed Russian strategic intercontinental-range ballistic missiles (ICBMs), submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBMs) and long-range, nuclear-capable bombers will drop dramatically, with or without a new arms control agreement.

Russian sources indicate that, within eight-to-nine years, Russian Federation's inventory of strategic launchers will have shrunk from approximately 680 launchers today (some of which already are no longer operational) to approximately 270 launchers, simply as a result of the aging of their systems and the pace of their modernization program. By contrast, the service life of existing U.S. systems extends several decades. In other words, the Russians are going to undergo a substantial contraction in the size of its strategic nuclear arsenal, whether we do or not.
There are serious downsides for the United States in moving to the sorts of low numbers of strategic launchers called for in the New START Treaty. These include:

New START would encourage placing more warheads on the remaining launchers, i.e., "MIRVing" — which is precisely what the Russians are doing. Moving away from heavily MIRVed strategic launchers has long been considered a highly stabilizing approach to the deployment of strategic forces — and a key U.S. START goal.

New START would reduce the survivability and flexibility of our forces — which is exactly the wrong posture to be adopting in the uncertain and dynamic post-Cold War strategic environment. The bipartisan Congressional Strategic Posture Commission concluded that "preserving the resilience and survivability of U.S. forces" is essential. The very low launcher levels required by New START are at odds with both of those necessary conditions.

New START's low ceilings on launchers and warheads can only create concerns about America's extended deterrent. Allied nations have privately warned that the United States must not reduce its strategic force levels to numbers so low that they call into question the credibility of the U.S. nuclear umbrella or encourage China to see an opportunity to achieve strategic parity with the United States. Some of those who have long looked to us for security may feel constrained to develop and field their own deterrents — a formula for intensified proliferation.

New START's limitations could result in the destruction of U.S. multi-purpose strategic bombers, affecting not only the robustness of our nuclear deterrent but cutting into our conventional capabilities, as well.

Were the United States to slash its strategic nuclear forces to match those the Russians can afford, it would ironically ensure that it has far fewer nuclear weapons — not parity with the Kremlin — when the latter's ten-to-one advantage in tactical weapons is taken into account. The Russians have consistently refused to limit their tactical nuclear arms, and will surely continue to do so in the future, especially since Moscow has little incentive to negotiate limitations on such weapons when the numbers are so asymmetrical.

This stance should not be surprising since it is this category of weaponry that makes up the bulk of Moscow's nuclear stockpile. Russian doctrine emphasizes the war-fighting utility of such weapons and their modernization and exercising remain a priority for the Kremlin. In fact, some of those weapons with an explosive power comparable to, if not greatly in excess of, that of the Hiroshima bomb are believed to be aboard submarines and routinely targeted at the United States. Others are targeted against our allies. These were among the reasons that prompted the Congressional Strategic Posture Commission to identify the Russian tactical nuclear arsenal as an "urgent" problem.
Such capabilities constitute a real asymmetric advantage for Moscow. What is more, given that these Russian tactical nuclear weapons are of greatest concern with regard to the potential for nuclear war and proliferation, we cannot safely ignore their presence in large numbers in Russia's arsenal. It is certainly ill-advised to make agreements reducing our nuclear deterrent that fail to take them into account.

New START imposes de facto or de jure limitations on such important U.S. non-nuclear capabilities as prompt global strike and missile defenses. In the future, the nation is likely to need the flexibility to field both in quantity. It would be folly to limit, let alone effectively preclude, available options to do so.

New START is simply not adequately verifiable. Lest assurances that the treaty will be "effectively" verifiable obscure that reality, the truth is that the Russians could engage in militarily significant violations with little fear of detection by the United States. And, for reasons discussed below, it could take years before we could respond appropriately.

These and other deficiencies of the New START treaty are seriously exacerbated by the context in which Senators are being asked to consent to its ratification. Specifically, the Senate's endorsement of this accord would amount to an affirmation of the disarmament agenda for which it is explicitly said to be a building block — namely, Mr. Obama's stated goal of "ridding the world of nuclear weapons."
This goal has shaped the administration's Nuclear Posture Review (NPR) and would, if left unchanged, condemn the United States to a posture of unilateral nuclear disarmament. (See, in this regard, the attached essay by Vice Admiral Robert Monroe, which appeared in the Wall Street Journal on August 25, 2010.) By precluding the development and production of new nuclear weapons and the realistic testing of those currently in the stockpile and by "devaluing" the role played by these weapons and the mission of those responsible for maintaining our deterrent, the NPR sets the stage for the continued obsolescence and atrophying of our arsenal. No other nuclear power is engaged in such behavior. And, given our global security responsibilities and the growing dangers from various quarters, neither should we.
For all these reasons, we urge you to resist pressure to consider the New START Treaty during the lame-duck session. The Senate should reject this accord and begin instead a long-overdue and vitally needed process of modernization of the nuclear stockpile and refurbishment of the weapons complex that supports it. Only by taking such steps can we ensure that we will, in fact, have the "safe, secure and effective deterrent" that even President Obama says we will need for the foreseeable future.

The Rarest Thing In Washington D.C.

While it is true that honesty, integrity, common sense, or ethical behavior seem rare these days in Washington, D.C., there is another glaring rarity that is so obvious that most cannot see it. Those that are the closest, who work there, are the least likely of all to see.

In fact, it may require some distance to observe this basic truth. For the further away one is, the more likely one is to suffer ill effects due to the very rarity of this entity.

The rarest thing in Washington is a product this country needs the most.

What is it that is so rare?

The rarest thing created in Washington, D.C. is... good law.

On one hand we should recognize and respect these people for the sacrifice they make in serving us, but on the other we deserve much better. Lawmakers there have a nearly impossible task given the scope of the role most of them now believe they own. Logistically, they just do not have time to construct good law. They no longer seem to understand their job descriptions as decreed by the people. Who can blame them though, with the federal courts continuously handing out findings that seem to indicate we have moved beyond our Constitution, in the name of progress, which leads them to believe in an ever expanding role for themselves, and the part they must play? Great cover, having unelected activist judges provide the "business of Washington" rules. They also believe that they are primarily there to make law, so they go about making multitudes of new laws for us all to follow. And therein lays the problem. Hundreds of new laws, and tens of thousands of new rules to enforce them are created by them yearly. And their product is not very good. Have you looked at our federal tax laws?

Since we citizens are not all the same, and have such a wide variety of differing needs and interests for ourselves and communities, making laws to be applied equally to everybody across the land is no small design challenge. And the fact of the matter is, the design challenge is rarely ever met at all.

As an analogy imagine trying come up with a sound bridge design which must accommodate all the people, all the time, and handle any and all contingencies, and also be safe, and do this in a few days, weeks, or even months. In fact, such a bridge would be nearly impossible to even design or to make, ever.

Any such undertaking of this magnitude should also be rare. But this is not what happens in Washington, D.C.. What happens there is that reams of new "problems" are brought to a lawmakers attention, and he or she is expected to come up with equitable solutions. So they go about the process of making new laws via the bill procedures. After all they are called "lawmakers."

Originally, when the elected adhered to our Constitution and understood their job, lawmakers were supposed to congregate in our U.S. capital to decide on important solutions primarily concerned with protecting the citizenry from external threats to their lives, liberty, pursuit of happiness and property. They then returned home to report to their constituents and state legislators. When Congress stuck to those actual responsibilities, they had far fewer laws to make than what they undertake now, and they actually had a chance to design and construct good laws. Somewhere along the line however, they decided that they were really there to decide for us citizens what to do about anything and everything. Having given themselves authority they do not have, they are now overwhelmed by it.

Today a "problem" is more likely to be a "special interest" or ideological wish list, rather than any actual national distress or threat needing a new law for a solution. The lobbyist who represents money down the line for campaigns gets the lawmakers attention. It is their ideas that are adopted as their own when it comes to making changes in the law, and not the people's. Whether or not the problem is real or not, the lawmakers will hand it off to the legions of clerks employed by them in order to continue doing what those clerks excel at... writing bad laws for the lawmakers to "sell" to the people. Not that these people are themselves bad at crafting the verbiage within the proposed laws. Its also not the case that their intentions are not good in many cases, though many employed in this capacity are ideologues with agendas.

Imagine a chief architect builder not knowing very much about the design of his own grand structure, but selling it it based on what he wants it to do. If he gets enough of his fellow society of architects to agree that the idea of the structure is a good one, the incomplete plans are approved, often with legions of lesser architects scurrying about to present something that appears to be a plausible design. Next thing we know these poorly laid plans are being applied and implemented, despite all the integral flaws. Incredibility, our laws are being made in this manner.

The lawmaker will then spend considerable time selling all the pros of the bill proposed to become a law. Often it will be sweetened up quite a bit with unrelated goodies attached for friends or negotiated with opposition. There might be some acknowledgment the bill is not "perfect", but the need for it is so urgent or so necessary. They might even promise to revisit it and "adjust it" in the future, after it becomes law. We now know they really don't know, or care what the details in the bill say, so long as their aides assure them it follows their guidelines, and so they do not even read the bills they promote.

If the "sale" goes well, the prevailing party will congratulate themselves for making "good law." They will then export it out to all of us, and instruct the executive branch to make sure they use the force they authorized, to ensure we obey their new law.

For almost all of us, the new law will be more of a hindrance than any help to us. It will cost us for its implementation, administration, and in its implications never even thought of before it was passed. It will cost some of us more property or loss of freedom when we are fined or jailed for violating its provisions. It won't help much as intended, because it is not a "good law" at all. It never had a chance to be. The law will place new restrictions on our lives and communities, and will burden us with trying to adapt to these new requirements. Some of its provisions will be seen as ludicrous, intrusive, and wasteful, and they will be. Its mandates will rub most traditional Americans the wrong way, because they will see it as yet another encroachment in their lives.

Had our own local community decided to tackle the identical issue (assuming it was an actual issue), and design a tailored answer for our situation, the resultant solution would be far, far superior than the D.C. solution forced upon us. We know ourselves, our sizes, and preferences far better. Our specific solutions, for specific problems, have a much greater chance to be the most beneficial, and the least harmful, for the greatest percentage of citizens affected by them. The farther the seat of power is from the people themselves, the less we trust that seat of power. This widely shared opinion is based on our experience.

This is not to say that all laws created in Washington are without any lasting benefits. We do need some laws, but only good ones, and only in the areas enumerated to the federal government. Sometimes even bad laws indirectly have actually led to people making voluntary changes out of fear of the next bad law to come. Some laws actually do have the intended effect, and have benefited more than hindered the most people. But we can easily make the case this is the exception rather than the rule. Truly beneficial laws follow our natural law, and protect our unalienable rights.

Even locally, a good law is uncommon. It just has far greater odds of being a better product for the people. There is a lot to consider when making any law. Doing it well has become a very rare thing at all levels.

In America, there exists a very well written legal document for ensuring that lawmakers write good law that needs to be utilized by them in order to include the essentials for constructing laws right. In recent times the lawmakers have ignored this mandate for good governance at the federal level, and we see the results. It is a mystery as to how they can do this, since they all swear an oath to uphold its provisions to the people.

Our lawmakers are supposed to serve the people. They serve lobbyists and special interests, and use our system to force ideological change, instead. We must insist that they follow the provisions of our Constitution, as it was written, and not with invented misrepresentations as to its terms. Instead of good law being rare, we need to make obstinate lawmakers who ignore the Constitution rare, to restore our country to its very sound and intended design of government by the people.

Writing and passing bad laws, while ignoring our supreme law, is not what our founders had in mind for our statesmen, nor our union, composed of our many states. The checks and balances, and the deliberative processes they designed, and the people approved of, were meant to assure that power was never concentrated in a central authority, and that new laws proposed were given the utmost consideration before imposing them on the people, and only than with our consent. These checks were placed as obstacles against irresponsible actions, recklessness, or attempts by some of gaining power to alter our deny our rights. They also were not mere suggestions, but were, and still are mandates to strictly follow. Political change was meant to originate from the people, not lobbyists, and not to be dictated to us.

The awakening and uprising by millions of people beginning in early 2009, which has become known as the Tea Party movement, brought dramatic repercussions against the Democrat Party in the 2010 elections. The left is now widely seen as the political side harming the American way of life by its destructive ideological agenda, and its arrogant disdain for what the people say. The way Washington works already is a harbinger of the "top down" directed nightmare of sluggish bureaucracy and inefficiency that they want more of. But the people also realize that both parties have been using the same rules in making bad law as a standard way of doing business in Washington, D.C. for some time now. They see the results in the effects those policies and laws have had on their own lives at the gas stations, grocery stores and unemployment lines. They see it at our airports, and our borders, and in the latest intrusion into our private lives. They see it in their ever-rising tax bills, failing schools, diminished choices, and failing businesses.

The people are being very clear that they are not interested in seeing compromises that result in yet another bad policy or result for them to adjust to. We have told lawmakers repeatedly we only want good laws. Laws constructed by reason, brought by the people, and using the normal deliberative procedures in the open. We want responsible government, true accountability, and restoration of our system of a representative republic.

However, there is yet another scarcity in Washington that occurs once elections have been decided. Maybe as rare as a good law coming from Congress, is a Congress that actually listens to the people.
The Tea Party movement and other traditional Americans will no longer tolerate this. We are silent no more. Together we have reminded the lawmakers of their real job descriptions, but it remains to be seen who was actually listening, and what they can or will produce.

Federal Government Tries Changing Our Constitutional Terms

If We the People do not have the authority to prevent non citizens from voting in our national elections it will not be long before our country ceases to exist as we know it.

The States are We the People, and We the People hold the power for self-government. We must guard this power jealously at all times. The supreme law of the land is on our side. Our Constitution.

The power of the States to define the qualifications needed for its electors (voters) was enshrined in the Constitution and was always reserved to the States. We originally had it, and retained that power as the Federalist Papers explained. Even subsequent related amendments to our Constitution did not change that reserved right- and for good reason.

Our federal government office holders are our employees and are strictly limited by our U.S. Constitution as to what authority they may exercise over the many States.

The problem is that very few of us really understand the "terms of the contract" so to speak, and falsely believe that our federal courts are the final say in Constitutional legal matters.

This lack of knowledge is a very serious problem for the future vitality of our nation. The federal courts, federal legislators, and presidents are running amok with a continuing pattern of claiming authority over We the People that simply does not exist, but nevertheless is being stolen from us and award to themselves.

One is left to wonder if there is anyone fighting at the state level for the actual terms spelled out in our supreme law, the U.S. Constitution. If not, why not? Are they too, ignorant of the law? Have they bought into the notion that our law is now based on something else, such as Supreme Court precedent? Or are they afraid to fight back because without the backing of the people the swim against this strong prevailing current is too daunting? The people just don't seem to know enough about the limits on the federal power in the Constitution placed there intentionally.

Fortunately we have bloggers like Publius Huldah who helps us understand what the Constitution really means, the intentions behind its many clauses that the framers themselves explained, and the way the liberal/progressives constantly seek to alter the actual meanings and substitute their self-serving definitions.

In her latest blog post published at both Canada Free Press and her Publius Huldah blog, she details how the Ninth Circuit Federal Court has decided to usurp our power in Gonzales v. Arizona 200, and give it to themselves once again. Publius Huldah walks the ordinary American layman through point by point on what the Constitution says, what was written about the power of the states to qualify its voters, and what the Federalist Papers say about this. She also shows us that the Ninth Circuit's opinion used convoluted logic, misrepresentations, and actually changed terms in distorting what the Constitution says about federal power in this area, and shows they are trying to rewrite it.

The majority opinion is a tangled web of 62 pages. I address three points: (a) They misrepresented, ignored Art. I, Sec. 2, cl. 1; and (c) They rewrote Art. I, Sec. 4, cl. 1. what Alexander Hamilton & James Madison actually said...
Read it, understand it. Our country is in real peril.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck criticizes Sarah Palin over school lunch bill

That is how Elisabeth Hasselbeck's name rose into the hot topics category this week when the two differed on the new $4.5 billion school lunches bill passed by lawmakers this week.

The bill also bans "unhealthy foods"and was opposed by Palin who took the position that children's nutrition is the responsibility of the parents.
Though Elisabeth has a very tough gig working with the PC cultural destruction police bunch she has to deal with everyday, she is not taking a conservative stance here. Sarah is right.

Thanksgiving was not formally made a federal holiday until 1941. However, it has been celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November annually since President Abraham Lincoln delivered the address below in 1863. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at The Heritage Foundation.

The year that is drawing toward its close has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added which are of so extraordinary a nature that they can not fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever-watchful providence of Almighty God.
In the midst of a civil war of unequaled magnitude and severity, which has sometimes seemed to foreign states to invite and to provoke their aggression, peace has been preserved with all nations, order has been maintained, the laws have been respected and obeyed, and harmony has prevailed everywhere, except in the theater of military conflict, while that theater has been greatly contracted by the advancing armies and navies of the Union.

I have heard many ask that even if they are; Don’t we need to change our behavior to maintain a clean environment?

It is with great trepidation that I anxiously await tomorrows vote.

The United States of America could see the beginning of the end of life as we know it... the historic point in which a misinformed public chose a vague promise over substance which in turn lead to the eventual collapse of our great liberty.

While Tuesday's child is full of grace. Wednesday's child is full of woe.

Let's hope this nursery rhyme that portends to predict a child's future based on the day of birth does not foretell us now of an ominous path of progression down a path from which return is not probable. You do not have to be a student of the US Constitution to know that something is very, very wrong with the latest revelations in Barack Obama's views about our founding documents.

Should he be elected, Barack Obama would have to swear allegiance to the United States of America and to the US Constitution.

Now we have heard the audio tapes on redistribution and how he feels that our Constitution is "flawed", that "there is an enormous blind spot overlooked by the founding fathers", that they basically got it wrong and that a huge opportunity was missed during the civil rights movement to rectify the situation by the Warren Supreme Court.

Just how will Obama be able to take an Oath to defend America and our Constitution when he believes that both are fundamentally bad? Will he have his fingers crossed over the good book or maybe cross his toes inside his Patton leathers out of sight to his gallery of adoring fans summoned to commemorate his triumph?

I am not parsing words as he does. Obama is guilty by the preponderance of evidence in his words and in his actions in working to change the fundamentals of our country. He would admit as much before running for President. What he will not admit is that his change of redistribution
is social engineering, in other words socialism. In other words Marxism!

The beauty of our Constitution is the concept of limited government that keeps the power in the hands of "We the People" and does limit the power that the government can exert on us. This is not how Obama wants it to be at all.

How does Obama want to change us? He wants to "improve" our Constitution. He wants Justices that will interpret the Constitution to infer rights rather than preserve them. That one aspect would effectively seize power from the people and give it to a few unelected
justices to fabricate unimaginable law.

That is neither preserving or defending our Constitution, that is subverting it.

This outcome would be no different than an attack by a domestic enemy, the document is not just a political paper, it is our principles and our law. Obama thinks our Constitution is just a "paving political document" but is too flawed to be considered capable of basing our society on!
Why? It does not actively confer additional socialism solutions!

The "white executive does not want to pay taxes to inner city school children" and the government should therefore step in and make them! Does this sound like a statement from someone who is interested in preserving rights?

Redistribution of income mandated by a government is Marxism. Every society that has attempted to impose this system has ended up with a less efficient society with a more dependent citizenry, inflated prices, and high unemployment in comparison to our capitalistic economy.

This upheaval in the midst of an emerging global economy will wreck total and possibly permanent damage to our economy.

Not only should this man not be elected he should be banned from holding any elective office due to his extreme views and his expressed desire to attack our Constitution in order to change it or destroy it. This is tyranny, and must be stopped.

It is only responsible to have serious reservations on this man's allegiance to this country.
I am tired of the unwillingness to state this now apparent stance. Obama does not care for either our country or our Constitution as it is. His view is that our own Constitution is unjust and always has been!

The Constitution is our law and it has served us well to become the greatest country ever on the face of the earth! America has been the greatest defender of freedom and liberty throughout the world. America is the most generous country helping millions on the globel.

Obama doesn’t think this is a great country! Obama does not like our Constitution that is the very reason we have liberty and freedom.

Under Obama liberty and freedom lose.

The first verse celebrates both Liberty and Freedom in our song My Country Tis of Thee. From the start we have fought for both of these principles. No American can ever allow anyone to deny either to themselves or their posterity.

We look to a higher power than man for our guidance. When gratitude slips away, a people can stray off course. We will regain our way by observing His guidance. Taking one mans liberty to give it to another robs one man and gives nothing not already possessed by the other.

We are one nation under God. We are not "citizens of the world", yet we are the hope of the world. We cannot allow self segregating satellite societies to be formed, that will not respect all freedom and liberty's. This is not a change envisioned by our forefathers, nor all whom have fought and died to defend this united country formed of the people, by the people and for the people. Our leader must be able to sing our song in his heart and not try to change our song into one of another. Our leader cannot destroy, in order to build our country anew. Tearing down one mans house to build another's is not in our moral or principled makeup. "Spreading the wealth" as if Robin Hood unifies nobody.

Martin Luther King said:

"Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksand of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God's children."

King talked of our nation and our brotherhood as Gods creations. He said;

"Let freedom ring. And when this happens, and when we allow freedom ring—when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children—black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics—will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual: "Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"

What King preached was love for God, country and all men are created equal and should be treated equally.

Our leader cannot have it in his heart to exploit those in weakened states to rise up collectively to take down the strong thereby metaphorically leveling out life. When tall mountains are razed and smaller knolls mounded until all are level, no liberty and freedom remain. Only a scarred and desolately ruined landscape would remain. This is not a path to greatness or prosperity.
This is not hope for the future this is disaster and not a future at all for our children.
How could this fit into the Sweet Land of Liberty ? It will never fit!

No, our leader must be willing to sing our song proudly, to salute our flag outwardly, and appreciate liberty and freedom fully.

Anyone who cannot must never try to lead us.

The War of Gratitude

Increasingly, I see a struggle for power that is based on the message that our recent leaders have dropped the ball and so under them we have suffered.

If that can be established as a given truth, than it follows that people will be amenable to change whether or not the actual change has been spelled out with specifics.

People are constantly polled on their attitudes, how they feel on certain issues, and their degree of satisfaction or dissatisfaction. Two parties with a near perfect match in terms of social-economic circumstances may have a completely opposite attitude than their match.

What matters are his or her present attitude about life and circumstances.
Many factors go into what shaped a particular attitude in an individual but how they got there is not as important as where they currently are as far as politics go.

The power of knowing where they are is extremely important if you hope to convince them to listen to an idea.

This brings me to my main point. There is a median point in the attitude a person has and it often determines what position one will adopt. The amount of this feeling seems to directly tie into the amount of happiness present in one's life. Should you come to believe that you have no cause to possess this feeling, than you will most certainly feel unhappy. However if you do feel this, than more likely than not you are happy.

This feeling is gratitude.

This choice being made in this election cycle is based on this one feeling, as it always is. However, the lack of this feeling of gratitude is being exploited like never before.

A whole lot of people have been convinced that they have absolutely nothing to be grateful for by a man that was told that himself early on in his life.

He has the peoples ear; they are listening. When you feel that you have nothing to be grateful for, you will naturally want to change those circumstances.

You are susceptible to wanting change and you are going to hope for it.

Unfortunately we live in a world that bombards us constantly with negative messages. Many people do not stop to smell the roses. Some never count their blessings. Others still look with envy upon others that seem to have better.

If you are lucky enough to have born in this country you were automatically blessed with something to be grateful for. You were born into the greatest country ever seen on Gods green earth. You have a system of government that is of the people, by the people, and for the people.
You enjoy a standard of living that is the envy of the rest of the world, even the very poor live much better here than most of the rest of the worlds poor.

In order to be appreciative or grateful though first you must be able to see it. Some people are reminded by their faith some are reminded in other ways. Chances are if you are appreciative than you are also positive about the future. This does not mean you have to have money either. The old adage goes the best things in life are free.

Those that are not appreciative in life may have been at one time, and than something happened where they no longer feel that way. Almost everyone though is grateful for something in different degrees.

But this year we have someone who is very effectively telling folks they have nothing what-so-ever to be grateful for now but not to worry. Follow him and you will get the change you are looking for. Now he has planted the seed of hope and you are grateful.

This is absolutely powerful. Now, like magic, someone dynamic has come along and elevated your gratitude with little effort on your part. You actually missed the first step of the process though.
Armed with that information of where you are(on the satisfaction scale) he used that to convince you it was hopeless first. Due to the current leadership, of course. Once everyone was nodding their heads in agreement on what they didn't have( due to someone else) he made you feel grateful that he was going to change that for you and he asked for your help in doing so. This was repeated all over the country in a process called duplication.

Another name for this of course is marketing, and it is no accident that his campaign manager has this background.

People who are already grateful for what they see they have, do not understand how this all could of happened. How can all the Marxist ideals and acquaintances be ignored by so many people? What about his truly scary lack of experience? What about all the dishonesty and thug like, almost ruthless tendencies to suppress dissent or silence critics? What about the blatant fraud? How could people be ignoring all of this?

I explained what happened above. It also happens to follow along with Rules for Radicals.

It worked with him before and he knew it would work again.

When you have a country that can say "I support our troops but I don't support their mission", you know you have a lot of people lacking gratitude. Imagine if the troops themselves thought that. You could not make such a statement and have real appreciation for the job our troops do.

The last part of the campaign is called closing the deal, and it is no surprise that these previous tactics do not seem to work on those last critical voters he needs. I think it is also due to gratitude. People that do feel appreciative are not easily convinced that they need change.
This is why the last stages of the game have been filled with so many pot sweeteners, which he carefully words but has no real intentions to fulfill.

The idea of inevitability comes into play at this time too. If people feel its hopeless and give up
it's like gaining votes for himself. Our very ungrateful and complacent media will give it their all in this effort.

Those of us that are grateful know we must fight on to preserve our country, our freedom, and liberty. We know we have much to be grateful and appreciative for. We don't take what we have for granted and are not likely to fall into the same trap.

Yes we are in a war over gratitude. One side has real gratitude and one side has manipulated gratitude. Those who take the time to think about what they should appreciate will know how to decide!

The Unclear but Present Danger

I explained Obama's positions to my teenager this way.

I said in a couple of years you will be able to move out on your own and you would have the freedom to make your own decisions.

Do you have that plan?

Suppose instead of doing that you were required to live at home?

You will be taken care of and all your decisions will be made by us!
You will work but you will hand over your entire paycheck to us.
We will decide what you need.
We will decide if and when you need college and where it will be.
We will decide if and when you date.
We will decide if you drive and what you drive and where you go and who you see.
We will decide what stuff you have.

In other words you traded freedom for security.

The Political Art of Ignoring the American Will

It has become a normal sequence of events in recent years for politicians to ignore what they hear the American people say.
If;
We say no to gay marriage, we are ignored.
We say not to bigger government, we are ignored.
We say no to illegal immigration, we are ignored.
We say no to wasteful spending, we are ignored.
We say no to higher taxes, we are ignored.
We say no to restrictions against religion in public places, we are ignored.
We say no to abortion as birth control, and we are ignored.
We so no to government financial bail-out, we are yet again, ignored!

We than are subjected to the tag team politician-media spin on how we are heard, but why we are wrong, and they will patiently explain it to our feeble little minds.

If we really scream and shout all at once the issue becomes tabled for the time being. Behind the scenes our determined politicians look for new ways to sneak the issue into a bill somewhere or a new strategy to have it resurface later when the "heat is off".

Sometimes the issue just cannot be slipped in as a bill and it is handed off for the lawyers to fight over. Once in the courts the will of the people can really be ignored. Accountability ends at the nomination process. The court will either decide to act with restraint within existing law(as it should) or it will act to "make law" in which case not only are we ignored, but are than without recourse.

We hear all the time that conservatism is dead... because the Republican brand is damaged. Yes, we are angry at our party, but it is because our conservative values are being ignored by these politicians. If you had not ignored us and fought for what we want, we would not be on the edge of the cliff where we now find ourselves.

Habeus Corpus rights for terrorists?
Private property seized by the government so they can raise their tax base?
Boy Scouts being sued for believing in a higher power?
Illegal aliens receiving free college education over actual citizens?
Kindergarten sex education?

A few years ago few could have imagined these horrifying changes to our culture and our liberty and freedom. However, these politicians are just warming up. Having learned the art of ignoring us they now feel unencumbered in what they can impose.

How does 100% taxes sound?
How about killing live birth babies or the sick or the elderly?
New currency and coinage with the motto "In God we Trust" removed?
Mandatory attendance of government service camps?
Socialized health care?
Amnesty for Illegals approved and extended?

I would go on with this list but these politicians don't need any more bright ideas! Instead of trying to join in with the socialists the American people want you to fight. If you ignore this as seems to be your way than you will pay the price on election day. Given the choice between a slow excruciating painful death or a quick and painless death most of prefer the latter.
Our actual choice is life, but that requires something that the politicians can not seem to manage,
a simple little task. Stop ignoring the American people!

In the Autumn of 2008 -We may be witnessing the tilting point in Americas history.

Election fraud is being discovered daily on a systemic level thought never to be possible except in very corrupt local governments or third world countries. Fraud incorporated into a strategy of a party and a built-in mechanism of advantage protected by nonsensical court rulings and funded unwittingly by the American people. One of many torpedo's striking our hull.

Non traditional media reports, meanwhile a fully compliant liberal media campaigns for one side and against the other.
Lookouts with arrogance, but without honest souls.

The biggest economic financial fiasco caused by government intervention is being handed off to the very pirates that continuously pushed the calamity.

A pirate will act as if he is need, and in the blink of his patched eye will turn on you. One minute your hauling them aboard and the next you are bound and keel-hauled by him!
In some eerily similar ways that is what is happening to us now.

We have soldiers fighting and dying to protect our liberty and freedom. It is easy to find an ignoramus repeat the mantra, they don't believe in any war almost as a rote statement without any real thought or knowledge of history behind their words. Mutineers whom expect to be saved but are unwilling to save any but themselves.

This great country is being intentionally divided along ideological lines and our sovereignty may soon be simply given over to the rest of the world by people intent to impose change . On one side we aim for the deep and safe water while the other decides to steer for the shallow bottom shredding reefs. The skull and crossbones hoisted in the name of the new global socialism.

The U.S. Constitution is being ambushed and attacked from nearly every direction
by the very people that hope to take over and supposedly swear allegiance to it. Our rudder that has kept us on course for so long. They wish to fix it in a permanent manner so only they may decide if and when it is employed.

It has been predicted since our founding as a country that if a democracy is to survive we must be ever vigilant to a suicidal tendency that the electorate will vote to give more and more control away to the government. This leads to tyranny.

Distraction, disinfectant and deceit have allowed for a ballast shift that has changed our center of gravity. This insidious betrayal has been achieved almost without people noticing, but now we are becoming aware. Not only is it harmful to others but it is harmful to you. A small lie takes on a life of it's own and it becomes increasingly difficult to hide the original deceit. Thus a small lie is hidden behind more and more lies in a never ending web that requires a creative and sinister belief that you can bury the original lie behind the stack of new ones.

Eventually though the house of cards comes tumbling down! Not only is the original lie exposed but the elaborate web of deceit unravels exposing the character of the liar and his or her dishonesty. Those that witness the deceit learn not to trust the liar to provide truthful information. That person is now thought to be lacking and is not credible.

My parents also taught me something else. If you know the truth but actively hide it and this is hurting others than this too is a form of lying. This form of lying can be easier to disguise because it requires one thing, a continued silence. Many people excuse this as there are sometimes good reasons to stay silent. Speaking out may be risky. Speaking out may bring unwanted attention and have consequences on your life that you did not ask for.

Right now I see both forms of lying hurting this country. I wonder how much harm the silence is causing. I wonder how much bigger the web of deceit will grow. The consequences of these lies will not only hurt people now but may hurt people for generations to come. The people doing this lying have a huge stake in being credible. Sadly, they do not seem to care.

Media, your short term goal of electing someone as your candidate has a critical price. You have already paid that price with me, you may not care now, but, the price is permanent and you will learn that I am hardly alone in no longer trusting you. You were entrusted with one main responsibility and you have failed in using that power responsibly.

You see, I have had cause to check the facts of your stories. What I find reveals who you are, and it reveals you to be a liar. Yes, I am talking about you our formerly trusted media.
I am giving you notice. You are fired! You are gone with cause. An egregious dereliction of duty and the deliberate and orchestrated deception of the American people. You have a few co-defendants also in Hollywood and the concert circuits and the late night comedy shows. They too are busted, services no longer required. Please take them with you!

The "lost ones"( that still believe you) must continue to be subject to your lying manipulations in order to appease them. Good luck with that. Remember, as our parents told us, "It is a house of cards!" It is hurting people and it will hurt you when it comes tumbling down.

Four more years of lying is a very impossible task even in a Marxist society! Millions of people whom have only known freedom and liberty will not be silenced or fall into line with a leader who is a liar, nor a media that deceives us and attacks the actual truth.

The loss of jobs caused by higher taxes, the crippling of an economy due to asinine environmental policies, the giveaway of billions for UN scam programs, the socializing of government and the false promises of entitlement, the cultural breakdown that leads to chaos,
the making of laws in our courts that subverts our Constitution, all of these....and many more
cannot be ignored nor lied away. Half of us already realize the liars you are, and eventually a lot more will wake up out of their zombie state and realize the trouble that you have helped wrought upon this great nation.

Journalism should be left to those with sensible parents. Parents that teach their children right from wrong. Obviously you media have gone to long without adult supervision. Obviously your parents never explained the difference between right and wrong. The consequences of your lack of integrity have transformed into the greatest threat that this nation has ever faced since the early days of it's inception. That threat is the total destruction of our country from within!

The truth about Barack Obama is that a whole tangle of lies are being fabricated to hide the truth.

Who are the combatants? What is being fought over? What is at stake?

Where can you go to find out the truth?

It is increasingly clear that one can not find the truth in the traditional venues. If you line up with the left and pick up a periodical you will probably have your ideas confirmed. The news is framed in the way that appeals to your world view. Your leaders are idolized and the political opposition is denigrated. You live in your own happy little world, though chances are you fit nicely into a special victim category. If you happen to watch a network newscast your views will be endorsed further in a somewhat abbreviated manner with selective soundbites and syndicated stories. You trust and accept this information as mostly true. You are a kool-aid
drinker.

If you are a traditional American that believes in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, along with the individuals rights and freedoms, you know that the facts do not align with reality as the media is presenting them. You see a media taking a small corner of the picture, re-framing this and changing key facts through nuance, omission or downright lying. You know better as you see the distorted image now presented as news and truth! You are not happy, and you have cause!

Ordinary Americans are leaving the old sources of information in no small part due to this bias.
It is incredible to listen to these media people feign innocence to these practices. It is just too obvious for them to deny with a straight face any longer. They are still trying though, it is not working!

This would be laughable were not the stakes so high! Our media has traditionally added a level of safety to our society by being a major check on the misuse of power. This makes the irony of them abusing their power as they have all the more troubling. There is now a no hunting sign on one side of the political fence. This has the effect of shielding some pretty bad characters from scrutiny, and we are slowly finding out via other routes just what a mistake this is.

This is a huge disservice to America. No amount of Hollywood hype or elitist academia commentary justifies this.

Writing on this subject isn't new to me. It is just too important not to try and reach people with this message.

Our media needs to be neutral period! They are feeling economic pressure, but I am not sure they are capable of admitting why! Self importance seems to be a common thread among this class. They have the connections, they have the education , and they have the track record.
Who would you replace us with, Fox news? They scoff!

Speaking of Fox news, I see them slipping more and more in the wrong direction too and I can only hope they stay balanced.

Today I read an article by Cliff Kincaid on this very subject detailing the media rearrangement of information with specific examples. You can read it here. I have read many such articles by many authors, too many to list.

The left has nominated an absolutely horrid candidate to lead our country but only those willing to look for alternatives to the media know how bad he is for our whole system of government and way of life. Presenting him as a truly viable candidate borders on criminal in its deception.
Yes, these are harsh words but they match the harsh reality of the man who has a hidden record and a devious agenda. This is only possible because the media wants it this way.

The war rages on and it is very clear the truck with the satellite dish is not the same as a truck with a red cross. We can't let them cut back and forth across the front line helping to shape the battlefield in favor of their favored victors.

As a stubborn house of unrepresentative legislators once again ignores the will of the people and leaves to campaign having pushed through a disastrous energy lock-up bill, I am reminded of this quote by John Adams:

"if the cause, the interest and the trust, is insidiously betrayed, or wantonly trifled, the people have a right to revoke the authority that they themselves have deputed."

Being an ordinary man, I believe I am hardly alone in seeing the need to revoke these obstinate people the license for further representation of our will.

This Congress of course is counting on a media whom will re-frame the facts and control the "common knowledge" of the masses into something that fits into what they view as acceptable. This " re-information "of course also subscribing to the ideological standard most shared in their circle of elites, including the progressives, academia, and the truly creative.

Never mind that now, this repackaging has become so obscenely apparent that the lowly ordinary man (who is never taken seriously in the media) is now complaining loudly.

What do we know?

What can be more important than knowing the truth about our leaders before we elect them. We need to know all about them in both word and deed. The depth of the scrutiny needs to increase with the importance of the position. Media deciders cannot be allowed to include or omit only information which they deem worthy while dismissing the most of us who are the common man.
A re-framed picture that is so decidedly false, presented as to be someone mainstream, but who actually resides on the farthest outskirts of society and always has, is not a service to any free man.
Adams warns to watch for these impurities of information and the danger to liberty of losing sight of them.

We should be unfaithful to ourselves if we should ever lose sight of the danger to our liberties if anything partial or extraneous should infect the purity of our free, fair, virtuous, and independent elections.

They may wish to overlook the ordinary man but is us that have the right to decide and it is our obligation to be diligent. We will be.

In October 2007 Former Vice President Al Gore received 1/2 of the Nobel Peace Prize. This was
shared by the UN agency created to advance the idea of man-made climate change the IPCC.
Here is the wording attributed to this prize "for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change"

For years we have known this as "global warming", and we are told that

it is man made
it is caused by CO2
that it will have catastrophic consequences
that scientists agree on this
that the models prove the theory
that opponents only dissent due to their "big oil" interests
and that we can reverse the potential effects if we control man made greenhouse gas emissions

Does that sound about right?

The facts are not allowed to get in the way of marketing the idea of this
ominous 'hypothetical boogieman'
(borrowed term I read in a Green Watch America article).

The green house gasses model conveniently omits water vapor and other factors that destroy the idea that man made CO2 does anything of any consequence to the environment.

It does not seem to matter to the alarmists that that actual science cannot prove any of this and
more than 31,000 American expert scientists (including 9,000 phd's) have put their names and reputations on the line to say so.

It also does not seem to matter that we are currently at the beginning of an actual cooling cycle
associated with the solar cycle and that we have measurable cooling since 1998.
A long history is available through ice core samples and other means that show that climate change follows a very predictable pattern associated with these solar cycles.

The growing evidence out weighs the rhetoric that man is causing any climate change.

Yes, we do cause a lot of pollution but we have improved a lot in this country and the public awareness in this regard is excellent.

This all brings me back to Mr. Gore.

The drastic proposals suggested for correcting "the problem" and now being implemented across the globe but mainly here and in Europe are going to cause an economic and political catastrophe for the entire world.

Western economies will be smothered and starved of their economic fuel, the whole world will be thrown into turmoil with few winners and many many losers. Liberty, freedom, and prosperity will be the early victims and the whole world will suffer as a result. The vulnerable nations will quickly be ruined by neighboring despots(there are plenty) and bloodshed will be unprecedented in the history of man.

Look at your own life for a smaller example of what would happen on a large scale. If you were suddenly prevented from either getting to or performing your job without paying huge penalty fees for just having a job or using anything you owned what would happen to you or your family?
How long could you survive if at all. You, like the other nations of the world would be on your own. How long before your neighbor also in survival mode sweeps in for the kill?

It sounds insane because it is! Imposing these drastic measures to correct a problem invented and promoted by a bitter excuse for a leader should not have earned a Nobel prize, it should have earned him a place besides other notables like Adolph Hitler. The world followed a similar path when Hitler uprooted the natural order under false pretenses. He wrought death and destruction world wide causing death to tens of millions.

Al Gore should be vilified for the role as an early leader of the attack against liberty and freedom at the minimum and possibly the catalyst that began the greatest human catastrophe in the history of the world.

Cap and trade will mean cap progress and trade away your freedom and liberty and it is time to end this insanity before it gains any further traction.

I wish to thank the people who provide the coverage of these blatant propagandists. They must suffer greatly while listening to the dribbling opinions of these all knowing fools.
NBC and its affiliates were deleted from the remotes in my house long ago, with cause!

Pictured is one of the vilest excuses for a reporter I have ever witnessed. His hero is Helen and his style is classless as is the entire network.

America deserves real journalists that present the true facts not opinion. The fact that Obama is still the candidate for the left proves that the media is not doing their job, and have not done so for some time.
Fortunately real market capitalism also agrees with me as we see the biased based networks lose more everyday. Makes one wonder if they can't keep their own house in order than why do they think they can tell us what is best? Wow! What a difference a week makes.

The RNC has not yet concluded but the final day has a hard act to follow.

Michael Steele, Mitt Romney,Linda Lingal, even Huckabee whipped the crowd into a frenzy,
Rudy Gulliani ripped Obama to pieces, and had it ended there it would have been satisfying for me.
Governor Lingal gave a more detailed glimpse into the accomplishments and experience of the VP candidate.

The one liners were like arrows of truth finally unleashed and finding their marks deep into the heart of a false picture thus far painted by a fawning incredible media.
Friends watching on some of these outlets relayed the reactions and we howled with laughter as we delighted in seeing the fear , panic and true horror on their faces and in their voices they failed to successfully hide. The crowd inside howled and cheered these guided missiles hitting their marks without fail.

The opposing candidates were not the only victims of this verbal slaughter. Some of those struck down the hardest were the very people trying to downplay the nights extreme success, a merciless press that has no problem trying hard to find anything to destroy the candidate they don't want and never failing to not cross the line of decency. So myself and others took particular joy in hearing them collect their arrows of shame and disgrace.

Sarah Palin has a beautiful family, an all American family, and a great American story we can all relate to. Knowing how they had come under such unfair and vicious attack for wanting to serve the country made me hate the media even more and vow to find a way to express it to others.

The star of the night did not disappoint. Her poised and feisty sides were both on display and her message was believable because you knew it was real and it was true.
Any honest person has got to be impressed with the abilities and accomplishments of this hockey mom( I also suspect a few Canadians were cheering).
She was spectacular and clearly the crowd agreed and you could feel the dread emanating from the Obama supporters who realize they are in real trouble.

Biden will not best Palin in any debate he will have to struggle mightily not to appear condescending in his face to face debates with her. It will require restraint he does not possess.

Kudos to John McCain he picked well and this shot of energy will last for a very long time.

I decided that I get that the media really isn't dumb but they sure are unethical.
"The One" was selected and Hillary was rejected by these same people even though they saw the same things in him that were pointed out by so many so adroitly tonight.
They saw he was very shallow so they looked only on the surface. They all knew better than to dare dig deeper. The frosty on this cake is paper thin and the cake itself is not what it should be.
Like the first try of a home-economics student that somehow forgot a few ingredients.

The media is diving very deep and desperately with Sarah thinking they might find only worthless trinkets but they keep finding pearl after pearl. They may want to call them trinkets, but the American people know a pearl when they see one!

Sarah Palin has the Democrats and Obama supporters scared to death. Today, it was revealed that the Alaskan Governor's social security # and other personal information has been released surreptitiously to the general populace.

Imagine that. Not something new for the fine folks over there in Hate Americaland, never the less it makes one wonder just how low people will wallow in the slime in order to win.

It is as if they are competing in some sort of political Fear Factor competition with the anything goes back stabbing, smearing and take out your opponent ala Survival except without the restrictions imposed by that show.

The strength of Sarah Palin is summed up by her reported quote of the joke Q- "How do you tell the difference between a Hockey Mom and a pitbull?" A-"Lipstick!"

This Mom is tough, she makes a difference, she walks the walk and she backs up what she says,
and at the same time she knows what it means to juggle tasks while being a loving and supportive mom.

They will continue looking for that secret weapon to wipe out Sarah because they know all to well her fantastic story is going to attract votes that they once hoped would be theirs by default.

This is a case where I believe the honest and open and real Palin will easily defeat those who resort to deceit, and hide their actions, and hide the underlying falseness of who they are.

Real Americans should always say no to this deliberate witch hunt and never ever stoop so low.

I love and appreciate this country.

I love my family which I feel represents a pretty typical family in America.

My feelings are most likely shared by millions of other families across the country.
Families go about their daily lives and experience both triumph and tribulation as they do so.
Most families, like most individuals have their ups and downs. For the most part people are busy, balancing their jobs, family, pursuing their interests.

This country allows for a freedom and liberty unseen before in the history of civilizations.
A few are very aware of this and would never take it for granted.

The problem I see is that there is quite a few more that really do take all that they have been blessed with for granted. Beyond that there is a sizable portion of our countrymen that also feel entitled to receive even more and that it is the governments duty to provide it to them!
So with the obvious stated above I want to talk a little about what I worry about when it comes to our country.

To be perfectly blunt I feel too many people are being duped and accepting a very biased and fast food variety of information provided by an increasingly irresponsible media.
The formerly fairly objective reporting seems to have given way to highly subjective system of carefully engineered misinformation.

My trust of the news presented by the TV networks, the newspapers and periodicals, and the arts mediums has evaporated. The days of passively accepting their news as true are over for me.
I know that I am not alone.

Do this experiment, watch a day of CSPAN coverage of the House or the Senate and listen to the proceedings. With that information than watch the spin on the nightly newscasts. If you do this in an intellectually honest manner, you will be blown away on what is a "pick and choose" editorially bankrupt practice to lie to the people.

This is a disservice to me but I realize that it is happening, what though of the millions who do not realize it? If this is done during an official investigation of course it would be a crime called obstruction of justice. To me, this constitutes what is called negligence to observe due diligence.
This is a requirement to protect the public from professional practitioners such as a doctor or architect or lawyer. These journalists need to be held to the same standard.

Not only are these news organizations presenting tainted fare they hope for a form of legal monopolistic protection by reinstating the misnamed "Fairness Doctrine" to legislate the power to continue to operate in this manner. This unfair and dishonest information control is being supported by one side of the political spectrum. The very idea of ever doing such a thing is in direct contradiction to their public stance.

This brings me back to what I originally wanted to say.
I hear too often how people really don't care about what is happening politically. I see this as a terrible mistake on the part of the American people. We almost have a situation now where we have now trusted the fox(not the news station) to watch the chickens.

No would ever take something they felt was really important to them and leave it out unlocked or unguarded. Would you take and put a diamond ring on a little table out in your front yard with no concern or no attempt to protect it from anyone who may want to take it from you? Would you just assume that it would still be there for you if left unguarded or unwatched? Would you leave a small child unprotected and alone in a city or a jungle? Of course not, we guard and protect what is important to us.

Why than are people not guarding and protecting this country as they should. Why is it OK not to pay attention? Why do they feel that it isn't that important to personally worry about? If you are one of these people that has more important things to do ask yourself would I have the freedom or liberty to even do these things in other countries? Maybe its time to pay attention. Maybe its time to guard and protect what is important. Maybe it is time to find out the truth on what is happening to this great nation today.

This country is being undermined in more than one way today. There are active powers that wish to impose a much different way of life on all of us. There are groups working to end individual choice, to end liberty, to end freedom in this country.

They are succeeding in broad daylight to accomplish these goals. They have discovered how to use a devastating and effective weapon.

Yes, we are our own worse enemy in this fight. Our weakness is their strength in gaining ground. We are being cooked slowly so as not to jump out of the pot before it is too late.
If we are not to be ruled by tyrants and evil we better come to realize soon we all must be vigilant , we have to care, we must pay attention, we must find a way to be active to guard against complacency or indifference.

So do not be the one who says "I don't really pay attention to politics".
This is a call to duty to your country. Teach your children the real lessons
of history because they are not learning it in schools any more.

Most of all if you are one who is not paying close enough attention...Wake up! Pay attention!

The "Mother of All Smokescreens"

I hope that the upcoming fight over the so-called "Fairness Doctrine" includes all of this as evidence. Who needs Red China censoring when our own media puts a blockade around the truth on anything perceived to be an attack on liberalism?
Candidate Obama is like the Island of Cuba during the Cuban Missile crisis. American warships formed a ring around the island to prevent the Soviet Union from delivering ballistic missile supplies to the Cuban dictator Fidel Castro. The Cubans and the Soviets were both forced to pull the missiles out for the blockade to be lifted.
That, of course, was a positive use of power to prevent a threat to our country from standing. In the case of our media using its power to prevent the truth, we have the exact opposite use of power, we have abuse of power.
The armada of ships are in the form of media outlets. Like the Spanish Armada of yore their sheer numbers are overwhelming in size. They have encircled the very weak,very flawed candidate Obama to form a shield against any scrutiny, any real examination and against actual exposure of this very unqualified man. They have a common goal, to have this shield in place long enough for enough people to accept the created image of a God sent leader of all men.

He is the Milli Vanilli (notorious lip syncing frauds) candidate of all time and the media still refer to him as a rock star, literally. Is it that they don't actually know better? I highly doubt that and believe they are invested in his success for mostly emotional reasons.
That is why the American people without Fox News, talk radio, and the internet would really be mushrooms(kept in the dark and fed manure).
Despite the blockade word is leaking out and the candidate himself is providing the evidence to voters that there is much less to him than meets the eye!
This election is crucial to get Originalist's back in the courts. This election is crucial to have the strongest possible person leading us at this tumultuous time.
What the media's action has created is a situation that is actually breaching our freedom of speech and counter to their own long term interest. They are close to having us seat the most unqualified person to ever serve in the nations highest office.
I wonder, how many of these participants in this "mother of all smokescreens" is actually having personal remorse for failing to provide the truth to their countrymen.

There has a lot of talk when it comes to buses and how Barack Obama has a habit of throwing those around him "under the bus". This is not about that exactly.

Modus Operandi is the Latin term meaning "mode of operation" and is frequently used to describe criminal or fraudulent behavior by law enforcement of a particular individual while trying to build a profile for that person. M.O. for short.

I submit that Obama's M.O. is fairly consistent and has been employed by him to get to where he is today.

From his days in college to his Chicago associations and Illinois senate days right up to present day it has not really changed.

Obama hops on someone else's bus and leaves an IOU. Along the way he learned that he to could receive IOU's and he has used these to go very far and very fast.

The route he chose and the fellow riders he chose to help him are very strange and troubling to most of us, as it seems he could have traveled in a much more promising direction than the one he took and he does not explain his path.

The people that have tried to redeem his IOU's have all ended up under the bus(Rezko) or left holding worthless paper(his broken promises to his Kenyan village), in fact the long list is astounding.

His real talent has been the ability to redeem his I.O.U. ticket for better upgrades along the way(mostly by giving out more IOU's).

Aside from the achievement of taking the journey and writing about his feelings and dreams he accomplished little else outside of perfecting his I.O.U. system.

Now here we are today and Barack Obama is telling the world he is the bus! He is telling America here is my I.O.U. to you! Climb aboard!

This is his M.O. and he arrogantly thinks he can continue to use this system to drive us down the road even though , if you notice, he never drove the bus one single time!
